Addressing the Metro Area's Homelessness Crisis

I urge you to vote YES on Measure 26-210, which will provide essential services for homeless Oregonians who reside in Washington, Clackamas, and Multnomah counties.

Here’s why I wholeheartedly support this measure:

On any given night, five to twelve thousand people sleep outside or in a shelter in the Portland Metro region. If you count people sleeping in cars and other impromptu shelters, the number becomes much larger — and includes thousands of children. Countless more are only barely holding on to housing, scraping by paycheck to paycheck. For many, the current pandemic has made the situation more dire.

The “HereTogether Homeless Services Measure," or Measure 26-210, will bring critical funds for case management, mental health care, addiction and recovery treatment, job training, housing assistance, and culturally-specific services.

As the People’s Attorney, I am committed to the concept that we ALL benefit when our most vulnerable have the support they need.

That’s why it’s so important that we all vote YES on Measure 26-210 today!

Thank you,
