  • In January 2019 Ellen reached a multi-state settlement with Fiat Chrysler and Robert Bosch totaling $171 million for selling and leasing environmentally non-compliant vehicles, and brought the company under environmental regulations it had been violating.

  • In April 2019 Ellen filed a suit challenging the Trump administration’s “two-for-one” executive order, which declared that federal agencies must repeal two regulations whenever they propose a new one--a brazen attempt to obstruct our ability to keep polluters in check.

  • In August 2019 Ellen filed a suit challenging the Trump administration’s decision to replace the Clean Power Plan with an “Affordable Energy Plan,” a policy designed by oil and coal companies which would eliminate the rule’s original intention of reducing carbon emissions and obstruct states from creating policies to promote clean, efficient electricity generation.

  • In September 2019 Ellen sued the Trump administration for its proposal to eviscerate the Endangered Species Act, which has been fundamental in protecting Oregon’s rich forests and clean waters for decades.

In May 2020 AG Rosenblum sued the EPA to challenge its non-compliance policy during the COVID-19 pandemic. The sweeping policy creates a presumption of nonenforcement that increases the combined risk of industrial pollution and coronavirus complications for vulnerable communities.
