  • In 2015 Ellen secured a $1.1 million settlement after suing Insys Therapeutics for using deceptive and unlawful marketing practices in the sale of an opioid for cancer patients, while the company knew the drug was being sold for off-label purposes.

  • In May 2019 Ellen sued Purdue Pharma for exacerbating addiction and related devastation across our state and nation. Rosenblum rejected an initial settlement, which would have let the drug manufacturer off too easy, allowing it to evade the admission of wrongdoing and to continue selling opioids.

  • Ellen has stepped up to challenge repeated attacks against the ACA, which has cut Oregon’s uninsured rate in half and helps cover half a million Oregonians. Ellen currently fights with a coalition of 21 other state AGs defending the ACA in the US Supreme Court against a Texas-led attack.

  • In November 2019 Ellen blocked the Trump administration’s proposed health care refusal rule, which would have allowed providers to discriminate on the basis of personal religious beliefs or moral convictions.

As a prosecutor and judge, Ellen Rosenblum has spent her career fighting for and protecting the people of Oregon.
